Suppliers Review: Zandels Mini Cooper (Bridal Car)

Rating: óóóóó (5 stars)
Rates: 6,000 – 4 hours rent, Just Married Plate, Flowers plus a very nice kuya driver!

I didn't cry as i marched the aisle, but i cried before
i went outside the car!
It's not that easy to get outside of mini cooper most especially
if you're wearing a gown plus a high heeled shoes ☻

Two thumbs up for this supplier! My guests were amazed and stunned by our bridal car. Everyone wanted to take a picture of it. Though I am REALLY the star during that day, it was as if I am some sort of super sikat na artista (Sarah G, i suppose) hehe ☻. All the people on the road while we’re on our way to the church, would stop and take a picture of me. (or the car lang ata talaga) hehe. Kids and oldies waved their hands at me, as they see the bridal car along the stretch of Makati.

Added point was that kuya driver was really nice. He was very supportive and concern about my giddy feelings. I can still remember that he held my bouquet and hanky, because he saw that I am already experiencing heebie-jeebies due to over-excitement. Kudos to you kuya for the concern you have shown to me that day.

My bridal car: Mini Cooper ♥

Before deciding what bridal car to book on our wedding day, Mark and I had few options in mind.

Aside from Cadillac, Benz and other vintage cars, I also wanted to ride on a Chrysler on our wedding day. So I tried to inquire to Manila Bridal Cars for the rental fee but unfortunately, their rate had bumped up and they are not yet open for bookings.

So I got in touch with Cho (contact person for Zandel's mini cooper rentals), and inquired about the terms and conditions if we are going to rent out a mini cooper. I even asked him if Mark and I would fit in inside the car, since mini-cooper is in fact small. (kaya nga mini eh). Cho  said  “just imagine, Mr. Bean who is a 6-ft tall was able to squeeze himself inside his mini-cooper” so with that being said, and after a few days of consideration, I decided to book them.

Just Married Plate

Mark was happy with the concept since he’s a fan of vintage cars too. So this is it! – mini cooper as my bridal car! We’re still thinking if we’re going to get a custom plate, but that’s an additional 900.00.

Peso Power: 6,000 good for 4 hours, driver, flowers and default just married plate.
Down Payment: 50%, refundable. (They do accept pencil bookings)

Mercedes Benz & Mini Cooper

Right now, I am really torned whether to get Mercedez Benz or Mini Cooper as our bridal car.

Originally, I wanted to ride a Cadillac and I think this would suit best on our wedding theme. But I’m thinking, riding a Cadillac along the stretch of Makati is kind of unusual, in short weird (FOR ME). Also, the peso power for the rent of Cadillac would be 12,000 for 3 hours (Don Robert's). So of course, we have to let go of this.

Don Robert has other vintage cars too ranging from 8K to 12K. I was about to book him last week, but unfortunately, he never replied to my text messages. He was more prompt to my emails. I tried to call him too, but I couldn't reach him. Maybe because I texted him on a Sunday?

Silver Arrow also constantly emails me, and right now, their Mercedez Benz (2002) is on promo.

Front View :) isn't it elegant?

Their rate went down to 6,500 from 8,500. They are having this promo since it’s their 1st year anniversary. Couples must book before August 2011 in order to avail this great deal. Right now, I’m still waiting for the contract that Maricar (contact person) promised me the other day. If they couldn’t send it right now, then might as well I should forget booking them, since they cannot deliver the details on time. :D – but still I really want to book them right away. This is such a great steal!!!

Zandel’s Mini Cooper is also on my top list, since I’ve been a fan of Mr. Bean and Mark loves the concept too. This style of bridal car is not usual and seems so unique. Good thing they do accept pencil-bookings, that’s why I already have the slot for May 26 next year. See actual cars below.

Bridal Car choices

Unlike other b2b's, bridal car is included on my top list. It is so essential to me since this is the means that would take me to the wedding ceremony. So I have to find a good supplier, who arrives earlier than our call time & that wouldn't bring me to the pits, and leave me riding a cab or even worse, a pedicab :D I have nothing against those means of transpo, but I don't want to experience boo-boo's on our wedding day.
Looking for a vendor for bridal car didn't give me too much stress because I already have three suppliers in mind. (Thank you to my wedding magazines!) We're choosing among: Don Robert, Will You Mini Me & Fly to Manila.
Don Robert offers vintage cars, while Will You Mini Me only caters Mini coopers; whereas Fly to Manila has regular bridal cars like Toyota, Honda, and even fortuner. Looking at the prices they sent me, Fly to Manila has the most reasonable rates which is good for 8 hours -- most of the bridal car services only offers 3-4 hours.
Below are the choices that we have in mind, to suit our wedding theme. :)
1932 Studebaker

Pearl White Mini Cooper

1936 Austin Lichfield

1965 Mustang (Vertical Doors)
Chedeng! :)
Or if our budget permits (which I think is impossible, because the rent for this bridal trolley is P20,000.00 :D) we're gonna rent a trolley for our entourage. ♥ (If lang naman)
