Our Partial Wedding Time Line ♥

My first article for August. Weeehhh!

Time flies so fast, and before we know it, it’s our wedding already. Since we’re complete with our suppliers, Mark and I decided to make a time line for the rest of the wedding preparations. And hopefully, we carry out these tasks without experiencing any problems along the way – most especially with the processing of our documents. I heard from a lot of B2B’s too, that acquiring a confirmation certificate is stressful to boot. There are times that the church where they had their confirmation doesn’t acknowledge or couldn’t find their records. So I am hoping and praying that we wouldn’t encounter such problems like these.

Time line:

August – mom said that she will take care of getting a copy of my baptismal & confirmation certificate.

September – request copies of NSO Birth Certificate; Mark’s turn to request copies of baptismal & confirmation certificate

-          1^st trial make up with our HMUA – (My HMUA will try different looks and check what suits me best; geeee I am so excited. I want curly hair!!!)

-          Scheduled meet & greet of our families

October – meet up with the florist and visit the hotel so we can discuss the flowers that will be used to ornate the place.

                -distribute Save-the-Date cards (granted that our Photographer will be able to do the layout & printing on time)

November – gown fitting for the entourage & for my gown too! =)

December – Interview with the priest at Don Bosco!!!

-          Do layouts for invitations

       

January – meet up with Norly Dizon & our OTD to discuss the wedding program

February – submit songs to Velvet Musicale

-          Layout for Photobooth

March – request for Marriage License & Cenomar

                -distribute invitations; print misalletes

April – get the wines from supplier, buy accessories etc

May  - RELAX! & of course, pay the balances! =) 

         - rehearsal 

Obviously, the list isn't complete yet, and we still have lots of things to settle. But hopefully everything would turn out so well. We are so happy that Mark and I are beyond the wedding time line we have, and good thing, we started looking for wedding suppliers at an earlier time, so we don’t have to cram that much. For sure if I didn’t start looking for suppliers last December, wedding date would be moved at a later time – most especially that I am a fickle-minded bride ;)  

The Laidback Bride to Be

Just 46 days to go before the big day. Exciting, isn't it?

I’ve been wondering for a couple of days already why I am not getting these so called wedding jitters? I am not expecting to experience it though, but it's as if I am not experiencing the stress that a bride to be is usually going through? Is this normal? Or am I just being too laidback and could be missing a lot of things already? Hhhhhm ☻ 

Detailed Wedding Checklist

292 more days to go and it feels as if I am having wedding jitters already. I am having sleepless nights, my heart keeps on pounding too fast every time I think about the so-called big day. This time around, there is no more time to be lax with the preparations, most especially that time is running swiftly ;)

Initially, when Mark and I started the wedding preps, I promised to myself to follow the wedding calendar time line I have created. Sadly, we weren’t able to follow the details I have marked on my calendar, and unfortunately, there are some things that we weren’t able to accomplish on time. But I can still say that we’re still on the right track. – and lucky enough to book our budget friendly suppliers.

So for all bride-to-be’s out there, who are planning for their own wedding, it is a must to have a check list. Checklist would help you not to forget even the smallest details of your wedding. To be honest, if I don’t have the detailed checklist that one of my friends from Female Network sent me, I would totally forget that we still need to buy PENS and MATCHES needed during wedding ceremony! Looking at the checklist, I am quite proud that we’re almost 70% complete with the wedding details. 

So if you're a bride, and planning for a wedding, it is a MUST to have your own wedding checklist. Much better if you compare and contrast the checklists on the Internet, because some of these checklists have different details on it. Just like what I did, I printed out a couple of checklists, filed them on a *special* folder, and PROMISED myself to update it from time to time. But due to my busy schedule at work and granted that I do not have a professional wedding planner, most of these checklist are still *unused/checked*. Hehe. But despite this, I am still confident that we’re on the right track! (I hope so) To believe it or not, the checklist that I have been using most of the time is as the same size of a post it notepad. :D

If the check boxes on the detailed check list that you are using have more unchecked text boxes/check boxes or whatever you call it, start working on it. It's not a good idea to cram if you're planning for your big day - unless you have your own professional wedding planner ;) 

So on our part, here's the unfinished list that Mark and I need to accomplish before 2011 ends. It’s a shame that I posted a time line before but ended up not accomplishing those tasks. :D

Oct 29 – meet up with Ysabela Florist to discuss the packages we’re going to get from them.

Nov 13 – buy materials for Invitations, canvass wedding attire

Nov 20 – new schedule for Trial make up

Dec 6 – Pre Cana Seminar ;) 

Dec 17 - Pamamanhikan (Dowry) - moved from September

Just a few, but mind you, this is just a partial list. I'm not pretty sure if something might come up, since I am not that organized in terms of the things we need to accomplish. For me, a single saved message on my Inbox would suffice the things I need to double check on the checklist, but that is no way reliable. haha. 

I know more canvassing and activities would happen on the next few months most especially on the first 2 months of 2012, and right now, I am hoping and praying that no major boo-boos would happen as the wedding day gets nearer.

Wedding labels

While browsing some of the wedding checklist I have printed out, I noticed that Mark and I are complete with the major To-do’s before the wedding day. However, there’s this one fraction we must’ve missed out – and those are the useful templates and labels that we need to print out for the reception.

Yeah right, creating labels 8 months before the wedding is too early, but since I am too hands-on, its not bad to start as early as now to find designs for table numbers, gift tags and the like. This is not a big chunk of our wedding checklist, but I know this will be very useful not just to the receptionist, but it will make the wedding party more organize.

We're planning to use this as our tags for our giveaways; aside from the mustache and *mwah* tags I've created before.

  To cut down costs, we'll just buy specialty paper from a bookstore, and have the labels printed out from a computer shop. I can no longer wait to share the finished product for our labels!

Mark and I are also planning to provide a *Will You Be My* to our entourage - (will you be my is a print out that soon to be weds give to their close friends whom they chose to take part of the wedding entourage; and since I've been an Internet Savvy bride-to-be, I'm just planning to tag these pictures on their Facebook account. Haha. So no need to print em out and that's a great bang for the buck! ♥ It may be too casual, but for sure our friends would appreciate it that much given that we chose them to be a part of our bridal entourage.

Suppliers Check list

Time flies so fast and up to this moment, I still can't believe that I am already going to marry the 'man of my dreams' (naks - cheesy!) Up until now, I still feel that I am mommy and daddy’s girl, and cant’ do something on my own. As if I am trapped with the memoirs of my childhood days.  (Emote much) ♥

 Looking at the countdown timer I have on my blog, I can feel that it's getting nearer and nearer. I can still recall, the time I started this blog, the timer was more than a year, so I am still undecided to generate a timer on my blog. But here it is: Mark and I are getting married in 9 months and 28 days. Woot woot! Ohhh, we just can’t wait! 

Wedding countdown as of July 29 2011 ♥

We’re actually complete with the suppliers we need to book, and we’re pretty glad that Mark and I were able to do such things even without hiring a professional wedding planner! All we need to do right now is to take our time, and cherish the moments we have as a BF-GF couple. Because come the wedding day, our lives would totally be different. ;) Our next major step, which is on September, is to take care of the documents needed by the church. (Baptismal & Confirmation Certificates). – okay, this is really getting so exciting. I can feel that we’re already getting there!
