Suppliers Review: Anna's Chocolate Fountain

Mark and I was supposed to have our DIY candy buffet at the reception, but since Great Eastern Hotel is so fond of the corkage fees, we had to let it go and decided to stick with our edible wedding favors (Oatmeal Cookies).

Due to my "wants" of having sweet desserts on our wedding day, I never stopped myself looking for a supplier that offers affordable dessert but do not forgo quality. Something that is worth paying for.

I learned about Ms. Anna’s Chocolate fountain thru Sulit.com; but was kind of hesitant to book her at the first time. I am really not a big fan of online ads – but thankfully, she was able to deliver everything more than what we have expected. They were very punctual, and would always keep you updated, and would not force you to book them or pay the deposit fee right away even if you have only pencil booked them.

 I can still remember when I got really tempted about her affordable rates; I immediately sent her an email asking if we can book her for our wedding. If I can still remember, that was mid-February. I promised to pay the deposit fee a week after we have communicated, but due to other commitments, I wasn’t able to pay it. I was already thinking that she has already canceled our reservation, but come May, she asked me again if we are still interested to get her services; and so we did.

I am glad that we booked them; and since the reception program started a bit late, SOBRANG mabenta ito during our wedding day. Haha! Alas, we weren’t able to see the attendant and try the chocolate fountain. Chocolate fountain has been a part of my frustration most especially that I am really into chocolates. There’s something about chocolate fountain that really makes me giddy. Sayang talaga! We may not have booked the grandest package that Ms. Anna is offering, but then she really offered a very great service! If ever we would have another event, I’d surely book her and taste the chocolate fountain na! (not the fountain ha) J

Planning for the Chocolate and Oatmeal Wedding Favors

I know I've posted few times already that we're going to have a candy buffet on our reception, but the final verdict is we are no longer getting the candy buffet services anymore for the ff reasons:

1^st, Up to this moment, I haven’t received the bank details she promised me 1 week ago. I need these details so I can block our wedding date for her services. But please take note that I am not taking this against her, since I know that she’s pretty busy lately most especially that it’s already peak season (Halloween and Christmas season). She is very accommodating over the phone and her rates are really affordable. I’ve read super great reviews about her, not just in FN but also on other website, but my heart says that I really have to let it go.

2^nd the corkage fee we have to pay at Great Eastern Hotel just to bring in the candy buffet we were supposed to get

3^rd my mom is a diabetic, so she wouldn’t enjoy this. Haha!

4^th not everyone would appreciate candies. (I guess)

However, just like what the home TV shopping voice over would say on their show, -- but wait THERE’s more – even if we are no longer getting the services of this *supplier*, we are going to have our own sweet wedding favors – and that would be home made chocolate & oatmeal cookies!

Since I have started with my DIY’s this would be a great opportunity for me to pack the oatmeal and chocolates using God’s gift of creativity. :D

Fortunately, one of my agents is so into baking, and she will be the one who’s going to bake the cookies (oatmeal and choco chip cookies) plus make the home made chocolates. We’re planning to buy blocks of chocolates from Chocolate Lovers.

As per the boxes, I’ve already started getting in touch with this supplier I saw from Sulit.com.ph, and I can truly say that her boxes are really affordable!

I am still thinking if we should use the heart shaped box or the normal squared box. Whichever comes cheaper, then that's where we're going to settle.

For the cover, I am already thinking to stick our monogram on it. :D
