Everyone loved our wedding accessories, most especially my wedding bouquet. This is actually a labor of love by my friend, but since I have paid her, might as well give her the well-deserved supplier’s review.  I am not giving her 5 stars because she’s my friend, but because she was able to make such stunning paraphernalia’s. Hazel, the brainchild of Crystals and Beads has such a vivid imagination, and can turn any ideas to something tangible. Just like my wedding bouquet, which was supposed to be plain pink became a stunning Hello Kitty bouquet.

She was also the one who made our customized wedding cord (as her gift to Mark and I), the crystal pens and boutonnieres.

We're getting there! ♥

With only few days left on our wedding calendar, Mark and I are already crunching our weekend rest days to accomplish what needs to be done.  Guest list, payment, props, DIY’s and so much more. It’s such an ease that we have planned way ahead of time so we didn’t have to stress ourselves that much. We are both anti-stress, that’s why we are enjoying every second of our wedding preps. We can still sleep soundly and proud that we didn’t have to experience Lovers Quarrel during the preparation stage.

Right now, we are already finalizing the guest list, (endless finalization) and reviewing the contracts with our suppliers. We have also listed and prepared most of the accessories we are going to bring to the church and reception. We also placed all our wedding paraphernalia’s in one big paper bag so we wouldn’t miss anything.

DIY: Hubby to be's boutonniere

I really love how my friend was able to come up with a very dainty packaging for Mark's fabric boutonniere. I wasn't expecting her to pack it; but when she gave me the finished product, I was really surprised how well she decorated the red box. ♥ Hazel, I couldn't thank you enough for exerting too much efforts with the products I have forced you to do so; thank you - big time! ☻☻☻

The Best Boutonnieres (based from Martha Stewart Weddings)

One of my female network friends (thank you sis Cha) gave me a link from Martha Stewart (if you don’t know her, she’s quite famous and almost all bride to be’s know her!) showing the best boutonnieres that offbeat couples can use on their wedding day.   Proudly, there’s this one boutonniere that is similar with the boutonnieres slash brooches we are going to use on our most awaited day. :D I know I’ve shared this a couple a times already, but I can’t help but smile knowing that the style of our boutonniere has been presented   as the best boutonnieres. There are several pictures shown on the website, and I must say these unique styles are really amazing. I just can’t imagine that there are many couples out there who are really willing to take the extra mile just to have an unconventional style and signature on their wedding day. How I wish my ideas and plans for our wedding day falls in its right place -  Most especially that a lot of our paraphernalias show a great LABOR of LOVE or also known as DIY (Do-It-Yourself)

Earlier this morning, I already showed mom the wedding paraphernalia's we are going to use on our wedding day. I was quite uncertain to show it to her since she always make a fuss about about we, buying stuff way too early! :D

To my surprise, the moment I handed her the boxes of boutonnieres which actually turned out to be brooches, she got teary eyed and was in high spirit about these paraphernalia's. She even exclaimed that she can no longer use her brooch. And ask me to change the wedding at an earlier date. (but of course,  she wasn’t serious about it)

Since she got too thrilled about these things, she kept all the pens (with beads) and requested me to DIY new pens instead since she wanted to have all these pens. Given that I love her that much, I agreed and immediately said yes with her request.

Finished Product: Crystal Boutonnieres ♥

Few more months to go, and I have a great feeling that more DIY would come along the way. With that, I’d like to share the crystal boutonnieres that a part of our entourage would wear on our big day! Brown for the boys, and pink for the girls. I know not everyone would appreciate this concept, most especially the guys, but Mark and I opted to have this type of boutonnieres, because as much as possible we don’t want our guests to throw something that would become a part/memory of our wedding. (If we’re going to use flowers for boutonnieres, guests would throw away em’ once the flowers start to wilt.)  Who would want to throw away these lovely boutonnieres? :) 

Brown Crystals Boutonnieres

I’ve been into crystals lately and so with my friend, Hazel. That’s why after we have discussed how many boutonnieres, pens and mini bouquets she’s going to do for my wedding, she immediately brought new samples of brown boutonnieres that our male entourage would wear.

We opted to have plain brown crystals for them, since it would be awkward if they are going to wear pink ones. And since not all gents appreciate pink, we ended up choosing plain brown for their boutonnieres.  

Brown for the boys, pink for the girls ♥ -- we're going to make the pink one a lil bit smaller, just like the brown boutonnieres ♥
